The renders below could not have happened without the great textures from NASA in the "Blue Marble" project, various masks where also used for bump mapping and specular mask, sadly I can't remember where I got them.
The size of the textures used in the renders below are either 8k or 16k big, most of them are derived from NASA's 21,600 x 21,600 images. Hopefully, the day will come when I can restart this project and utilize the full 21,600 x 21,600 textures in a UHDTV (7,680 × 4,320) or larger render.
